Frans van Andel is a senior specialist in Market Access, Pricing, Reimbursement of Health Technologies and Public Health. He is a board director forPPi Healthcare Consulting. Frans brings more than 30 years of experience in market access issues involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices and, more recently, AI diagnostic software systems, with past experience in the pharmaceutical industry, CRO’s, academia and WHO.

In addition to advising on market access issues, project development sourcing, or health financing, Frans van Andel has board roles at several startups to assist in achieving reimbursement of their innovative medtech products in EU and overseas markets.

Frans also promoted global health through health investment and restructuring projects for the public and private sectors in Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, with assignments from the European Union and institutional bodies such as the World Bank and bilateral agencies.

Frans has Dutch nationality and is fluent in Dutch, English, German and conversant in French and Russian. He holds degrees in health economics (Universities of Groningen and Utrecht) and public health (Harvard, USA) and earned a PhD in pharmaceutical economics (Erasmus University Rotterdam).
