Wolfgang-Michael Franz, MD, is a physician-executive and cardiologist with over 20 years of leadership in academic medicine, telehealth, and digital care innovation. 

After directing university departments and completing advanced research in molecular cardiology, he transitioned into senior C-level roles across Germany’s evolving health-tech landscape. As Medical Director at SHL Telemedizin, he expanded one of the country’s largest remote monitoring programs. As CEO/CMO of myon.clinic and Oncare–BNK, he led the development of scalable virtual clinics, AI-ready care pathways, structured patient engagement and education video programs, and national telecardiology programs in partnership with payers like AOK and BARMER. 

He now advises investors, MedTech firms, and digital-health companies on strategy, reimbursement, DiGA, KHZG readiness, and G-BA-compliant study design. Franz combines clinical expertise with regulatory insight and operational precision to drive scalable, outcome-focused healthcare ecosystems.
